Welcome to the P-Lab!

As a research group we are interested in ecological questions ranging from how vegetation-fire feedbacks have shaped NZ’s landscapes, to how landscape structure effects seed dispersal, to how dendritic stream structures affect fish metacommunities.  What binds this seemingly eclectic mélange of topics together is an interest in the interactions between spatial pattern and process and the use of spatial modelling approaches to synthesise empirical information and understanding.  We are based in the School of Environment at the University of Auckland.
