As a research group, we’re interested in ecological questions ranging from how vegetation-disturbance feedbacks shape Aotearoa-New Zealand’s landscapes, how extinction and habitat change reshape seed dispersal, and how dendritic stream structures affect fish metacommunities. What binds this seemingly eclectic mélange of topics together is an interest in the interactions between spatial patterns and processes and the use of spatial modelling approaches to synthesise empirical information and understanding. We are based in the School of Environment at the University of Auckland.
